Scriptwriter / Trashed / Hart & Sparks / Oct 2023 to Sep 2024 |
Production Title: Trashed Company: Hart & Sparks Line Manager: Lizzie Hart Description : Trashed is a play that was independently produced and taken to Edinburgh Fringe in 2024. I was the director and co-writer of the play, as well as the co-founder of Hart & Sparks, my writing partner and I's theatre company. The play was written and initially performed at Warwick University before having a week-long run at the Edinburgh Fringe and a sold-out show at the Camden Fringe. As co-writer and director, I wrote and refined the script with my writing partner, led the direction of the play and characters, led rehearsals, worked with the producers to secure funding for the Fringe, and helped lead a team of people throughout the process. |
Scriptwriter / Downpour / Hart & Sparks / Jan 2023 to May 2023 |
Production Title: Downpour Company: Hart & Sparks Line Manager: Lizzie Hart Description : Whilst at university, I was the script writer for the original play Downpour, which was shown in the studio space of the Warwick Arts Centre with support from the theatre society Codpiece. The play featured devised elements, which involved me sitting in on rehearsals and adapting improvised sessions into a coherent script for the actors to memorise. As well as this, I was involved in the earlier stages of storyboarding and brainstorming the narrative of the play with the directors. This experience combined independently writing sections of script (monologues, for example, and dialogue-heavy scenes) with working with the actors and directors to create scenes together through devising. |
