I enjoy the practical side of filmmaking just as much as the creative side building and preparing cameras, working with lenses and accessories, keeping equipment organised, and being part of a camera team on set.
I’ve gained experience working as a Camera Trainee, 1st AC and Camera Operator across short films, music videos and other productions, working with systems including ARRI Alexa, Sony and Blackmagic. I’ve supported camera teams with builds, lens changes, battery and media management, equipment organisation and general on-set support, and I’m always looking to develop my technical knowledge further.
What I enjoy most about working in the camera department is being involved in the process of turning an idea into an image. I’m keen to keep learning from experienced crews, take on new challenges and build a long-term career in the industry, whether that’s working my way through the camera department or developing further as a cinematographer.
