Read MoreI'm a digital-first producer with 10+ years of experience at the BBC, making content for news, children's and youth audiences from first idea through filming, edit and publication. Across my work, content I have shot, edited and produced has generated 200M+ social views. I currently work in BBC Scotland's Impact Team on pilot youth news programme Long Story Short: sourcing stories for young audiences, finding and developing presenters and contributors, shooting and editing short-form films to BBC News editorial standards, and pitching across a weekly cycle. Before that, as Interactive Producer on CBBC Saturday Mash-Up! Live (BBC Studios Productions), I created social content during live transmission and ran weekly votes and competitions end to end, including website pages, live reporting and compliance with internal and external rules and ITACU. For eight years with BBC Scotland's The Social, I produced thousands of short- and long-form pieces, developed formats and strands, commissioned partners and scripts, managed budgets, and used audience performance data to improve output. I led the planning and installation of its digital studio, then directed multicamera studio and live-on-location content. My wider credits include The Social Presents, The Collective, Big Weekend Perth for BBC Radio 2, Radio 4 and BBC Sounds, LGBT History Month Scotland, Hay Festival for BBC Arts, SQIFF and KCC Live, where the weekly drive-time show I produced and presented was nominated for a Sony Award. I'm a confident self-shooter and editor, with experience in outside broadcast, live production, Adobe Creative Suite, BBC CMS, metadata and SEO, social publishing and workflow innovation. I commission and brief external partners, source and develop talent, manage multiple projects at pace, and work to BBC Editorial Guidelines, Ofcom and health and safety standards. I led a new digital studio build, and I serve as an RTS Student Awards Scotland judge for Specialist Factual. Training includes NFTS Multicamera Directing, BBC Lighting for Location and Working with Vulnerable Contributors. Full driving licence.
