Background and Experience 

I am a very experienced Shooting PD, DV Director, Filmmaker, AP and Archive Producer, with 20 years of experience in the industry.  My background is in law and journalism, factual and current affairs documentaries and short films. 

Over the years I have worked, in various capacities, on documentaries for National Geographic, Discovery Channel, BBC, Channel 4, History Channel,  and many others, as an Assistant Producer, DV Director, Shooting PD and Filmmaker. I am also a very experienced Archive Producer. I have produced archive-based documentaries for a number of single docs and series for Nat Geo, Discovery, Channel 4, The Weather Channel USA, Channel 5, HBO and Oxygen USA.
 
I have produced and filmed a great number of documentaries in the UK, Europe, South America, including Peru, Argentina, Colombia and Brazil for award winning Producers and Directors, including Line Producer Victoria Gregory (Senna and Man on Wire) and James Erskine (One Night in Turin and Pantani: The Accidental Death of a Cyclist), Ridley Scott Associates (Springsteen and I) and many more.

More about me 

My passion is in visually engaging factual films and documentaries, social films, human-interest stories, news and current affairs, crime and films that make a difference. I am passionate about great cinematography, I am used to working under pressure, with award-winning crews and celebrity presenters, in the UK and abroad, filming various styles of narrative and story-telling, as well as following developing story-lines. 
 
Additional Skills 

I am fluent in Italian and Spanish. I speak basic French. I operate and I own a Canon C200, I operate C300, Cannon C100, 5D, 7D, Sony XF305, FX6, FS7, Sony HDV-Z1/Z7 and A1, OSMO, Red, Panasonic EX1 and EX3 cameras, GoPro Hero and Panasonic DVCPRO HD, as well as editing, mainly on Final Cut Pro. I have a British and Italian Citizenship and and I have a full and clean driving licence. I am a former sailing champion, instructor and qualified sailing boat captain (up to 24 mt, off-shore licence, no limits). 

I am also a very experienced Archive Producer. I worked as an Archive Producer on various projects, including 3 x 90% archive-based crime series of up to 18 documentaries for National Geographic, Channel 5, Oxygen USA and Discovery Channel.

 
Education

I hold an MA in International Journalism and an MA in Documentary Research for Film and TV. My thesis was on Peace Journalism and how the influence of the media and journalism on peace processes and conflict resolution.  I recently completed the BBC Self – Op Storytelling Course and Directing Actor with The Film Academy and a Camera and Cinematography course at Congo Film School in Bogota’, Colombia. I studied Law, with a special focus on Media Law and Copyright Law.
