An accomplished AP on both long form documentaries and investigative films for prime-time BBC One, Justin Windsor has proven himself time and again as a patient, diligent and persistent journalist and camera-operator. Experienced at both domestic and foreign films shoots, he is a stickler for accuracy and whilst working with me as an AP on Panorama, The One Show and Inside Out projects Justin has proven himself a highly creative and reliable colleague always willing to go that extra mile working to tight deadlines in order we get the story ‘in the can’. A recent example of this is our recent series of investigations for Inside Out into the new routes being operated by Vietnamese people smugglers. Working together in Belgium, France and the UK, Justin's excellent research and relationship building abilities meant he was able to locate and then film inside a people trafficker cell operating in France. No mean feat and a scoop that had Network News calling him asking for tips and contacts. In short Justin Windsor's skill set spans the key areas of being able to devise creative story treatments, produce investigative films and also be highly proficient at operating a top end camera to deliver beautiful pictures. He's a journalist who has the ability to identify and then develop original investigative stories and package them into creative and engaging films. A very capable and reliable AP.
Justin is exceptionally tenacious and hard working Producer who did an excellent job on " In the Footsteps of Killers". Justin was self starting, editorially strong and incredibly adept at dealing with sensitive contributors and topics. He was also a great team player. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending him.
