I am a self-shooting producer director with broadcast and online credits in documentaries, current affairs, news and factual entertainment. I am passionate about telling important and personal stories, with a track record of working on films that explore sensitive subject matter.Whilst approaching complex issues, I continue to develop storytelling skills, drawing out clear character narratives and quickly getting to the key points of complex, hard to pin down stories.I have a track record of developing and maintaining sensitive access, including working extensively with professionals and also people who are vulnerable. I prioritise careful editorial judgment - whether working on an emotional, character led obs doc or a current affairs film stood up with well researched, breaking newslines.I completed a full Hostile Environments and First Aid training (HEFAT) course with 1st Option (BBC) in 2017.I have produced stories with sensitive compliance and legal considerations, which has involved working closely with legal advisors and/or the BBC’s editorial policy department to take care with regard to Ofcom broadcast guidelines and adhere to GDPR guidance and legislation.My ambition is to continue to develop ways of combining the craft of filmmaking with the mission of journalism.
