As a freelance producer James coproduced feature film LEAVE TO REMAIN (dir. Bruce Goodison) starring Toby Jones with music by Alt-J. The film premiered at the 2013 BFI London Film Festival and won the 2014 One World Media Award. It theatrically released in 2014 and broadcast on the BBC in 2015.James was the Assistant Producer on KILLING EVE by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, an 8 part series for BBC America and Sid Gentle Films starring Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw and Kim Bodnia.James was selected as an up-coming producer by the British Council and Script Factory for their 2009/2010 European Creative Collaboration Scheme, the 2010/2011 London Film Festival Think Shoot Distribute scheme and the 2011 Edinburgh International Film Festival Talent Lab for promising up coming talent. He was selected for Film London’s Audience on Demand scheme exploring new film distribution models and is often invited as a panel member to speak about crowd funding and direct distribution for film. James is a graduate of the 2016 EAVE Producers Network Scheme, coproducing with international collaborators.James is represented by Will Peterson at Independent Talent.
