I have made films for every major UK broadcaster and several streamers. I have produced factual, fact ent, access docs, news and current affairs. I have extensive experience of running both large and small teams. I have worked all over the world, often in hostile environments including Peru, The Philippines, Burma, India, Senegal, Iraq and Pakistan. I am as happy directing contributors and equally with big name presenters.
As a trained journalist I began my career at BBC news - covering wars, elections and disasters. I moved onto to current affairs culminating in my role as the dep ed. at ITV's Tonight programme while the show won RTS best programme for 3 years running. I then moved into long form documentaries for BBC, C4, and C5.
I won a best documentary Rockie at Banff for a film I made in The Philippines. Recently I made a groundbreaking 5 x 1 hr series inside Tibet -- the only western director allowed to do this in the past 20 years.
I've made a variety of access docs inside hospitals, Royal Navy Warships, The London Underground and The House of Lords
I filmed, directed and produced the award winning Netflix Series Sunderland 'Til I Die.
