I have extensive experience in production and development on both high-profile specialist factual and obs docs/reality projects. I am happy directing crews and self-shooting, and confident taking different styles of programmes through the edit. I can also use Premiere Pro, Avid and Blackbird editing software to help my editors work through the rushes and speed up finding the best material on large scale projects. 
 
I have filmed in locations as varied as the jungles of Guatemala and Cambodia, the streets of India and Brazil and British palaces and prisons. I have also secured and directed interviews with people from all backgrounds, from Scottish ship builders in Clydebank to close family members of US Presidents in Washington DC. I understand the demands and expectations of commissioners and audiences on both sides of the Atlantic and while my academic background is in history, I am always interested in being involved in different types of projects.
