About me
I'm a highly visual, story-driven BAFTA-nominated series director, producer and editor. My series include Top Gear, Dynamo: Magician Impossible, Gadget Man, Gareth Malone's Naked Choir and Made in Chelsea.

AI and production technology
I was a founding member of Flawless AI, where I was Creative Director and then Chief of Innovation, deep in AI production tools from the start, including TrueSync, an AI powered lip-sync tool, named one of TIME's Best Inventions of 2021 and used by Netflix, Amazon and Disney. Whilst there I also led the creative vision on the VFX for Fall 2, a box-office success that grossed $25.6 million on a $3 million budget, delivering 1,500 shots with new methods and tools, including AI-assisted wire removal and an ethical AI set-extension tool. I build my own tools with Claude Code, and I believe AI should amplify human creativity, never replace it. As a working director and editor first, I know where AI saves time and where it needs a human eye.

Range
I'm not tied to one genre. My experience spans documentary, factual, ob-doc, performance, fact-ent, reality, drama and features, music videos and commercials, so I can move across formats with ease and bring what I've learned into each.

Edit and final post
I'm very strong in the edit. I've self-edited and edit-produced many of my own films, shows and whole series, and have thousands of hours working with editors. I'm tuned in to what viewers connect with: storytelling, scripting, pacing, tone and music. I often take shows from pre-production through to final delivery, overseeing multiple edits and final post (grade, mix, online). With my own high standard of self-operating and lighting, I know exactly what an edit needs, visually and story-wise.

On location
I'm calm, decisive, well organised, always a step ahead, and a good problem-solver, from studio to some of the hottest and coldest places on earth. I've filmed worldwide, from luxury to extreme conditions in the USA, Europe and China, and in more unusual places like Kazakhstan, Ethiopia and Oman. I'm experienced running large, complex shoots with over 100 people, and equally at home on small, intimate ones.

Talent and features
I'm known for working well with talent, and many of those relationships continue after the production ends. They include Matt LeBlanc, Jeremy Clarkson, Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross, Konnie Huq, Richard Ayoade, Katherine Ryan, Chris Evans, Paddy McGuinness, Richard Hammond, Vic Reeves and Abbey Clancy.I've also made two commercially released feature films that charted in the national DVD top 10, and directed second unit on two action films starring Pierce Brosnan and Robert Carlyle.
