Richard did a great job for us on America's Secret D-Day Disaster and worked the oracle with a story that required drama recon to bring it to life - turning a 2014 swimming pool into a 1944 English channel killing zone is no easy ask - especially on our budgets!

Charles Thompson, Executive Producer and Chief Creative Officer

I've worked with Richard on a wide variety of projects for many years now, including remote locations, wildlife, culture and art history. He's a passionate film-maker, valuing the importance of strong editorial and well crafted narrative. His far ranging experience on location, from working with cowboys in America's mid west to navigating remote reaches of the Great Wall of China, means that he can cope with almost any given situation and I've seen him keep an outward appearance of total calm in several challenging situations! He works well with the crew, ensuring more junior members are supported and has worked with many new presenters, gently enabling them to find their own voices whilst ensuring they achieve a strong performance. He has huge amounts of experience in the edit from short form, to commercials and long form, with purposeful scripting that lifts the project in hand. Richard is always respected by his fellow crew members and trusted by execs...just what any production is looking for!!

Charlotte Jones, Founder Mustang Films

Myself and Richard, (with him managing directly a small team) had a blank sheet of paper when we started to think about a high end archaeological series based in Middle East, in places that had never been filmed before. Through smart thinking, diligence, great access skills and expertise we managed to have 9 and counting, premium blue chip archaeological films eventually green lit. No mean feat. Richard was there from the outset (I was Exec’ing 8 other series/strands so I needed really excellent people, programme-making experts, who could help to look after individual series). Richard and myself made a good team. We fortunately had a raft of other series/strands green lit too BUT I remember vividly how the buyer/commissioner said how much they loved this particular archaeology series. Mind you, it was brilliant! What a fantastic achievement! The access that was gained by Richard and the team to all the various top notch archaeological institutes and top notch academics and people working within the field throughout the entire world was amazing! And it’s certainly something I won’t ever forget. Great collaboration and teamwork! The very definition of it. And very enjoyable too. Thank you Richard!
