Available for DIT/Workflow Creation/Team Management and Editing positions.Hello potential employers!My name is Candice and I’ve been a Digital Imaging Technician for the last 5 years. I originally trained as an assistant editor, in house at BBC postproduction in Birmingham, where I worked on a variety of series over the course of 2 years. During my time at the BBC I trained on Avid and Final Cut Pro NLE systems and since then I have also added Adobe creative suite to my catalogue of skills.To diversify my options I started working as a DIT, which has allowed me to work with some amazing crewmembers and some incredibly talented DOPs. I’ve had the privilege of working in extreme environments e.g. Bear Grylls: Mission Survive and I’ve been given the opportunity to travel the world and witness some of the most beautiful places on Earth.Anyone who has worked with me will know I’m a complete professional, which is necessary when you’re responsible for keeping an entire series safe. I’m highly vigilant, so my back-up systems are secure and my data management is meticulous.It’s always best for me to start at the pre production stage to design the most productive workflows for the production, saving valuable time and money later down the line. I’ll speak to the DOP, series producers; camera assistants and series editors about the cameras, technology and methods they intend to use, I will then advise on specifics: file management workflows, naming conventions, codecs and frame rates, master rushes logs and the necessary hardware and software on location.As you will see from my CV I have worked on huge and incredibly challenging productions, with multiple cameras, involving various formats.
