The 9-part series, presented by Edith Bowman, is a search for a new star player of any type of guitar. Entrants can be any age and play in any style - rock, classical, jazz or acoustic.
Contestants mentored by some of the world's most legendary guitarists, such as Tony Iommi, Jon Gomm, Milos, Paco Pena and Tony Visconti and play at the UK's most prestigious venues.
After auditions, 16 of the best guitarists will be whittled down to 4 finalists by the judges, the competing guitarists are mentored over the course of six weeks with masterclasses that focus on developing their performance, creativity and technique. before the winner is crowned Guitar Star and performs in the series climax on the main stage at the 10th Latitude Festival.
