And I have some opinions.
It’s a great premise.. but the execution is very amateurish.
As an editor.. this commits the worst sin of being led by voice over for 30mins. It’s a full quarter of the runtime before we get into proper scenes.
It’s makes it super hard to relate to the characters.. and it felt exposition heavy.
The fact that the trailer managed to get the point across in 2 mins shows this part of the movie could have been cut down hugely.
When we get into scenes.. the movie again feels unfocused, with a lot of fat in the scenes.
The main theme of the movie is pretty predicable, once you get half way through however it’s watchable popcorn fodder.
It’s not terrible. But disappointing.
It’s no classic, and I don’t see many watching this over and over again in 20 years.
If curious about the idea.. it’s probably worth a look, but don’t expect too much.
