Read MoreAs an experienced factual producer with over ten years in the industry, I have had the good fortune to work on on a large number programmes broadcast on the BBC on Arts, culture, and history. These have ranged from long-form presenter-led series, blue-chip docudramas, single docs with significant in-depth research, to observational documentaries at major international institutions, to quick turnaround access, archive, and interview-based documentaries with high-profile contributors.
During this time, I have built up skills in scripting, research, story development, location managing, casting experts, members of public, and high-profile presenters and contributors, self-shooting, lighting, editing, archive research, and negotiating filming access and building relationships with cultural institutions. I have particular experience setting up shoots in the UK, USA, and Italy (where I hold dual citizenship), and I also experience filming in France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Russia, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, and Austria. While my experience so far has been mostly in the Arts and history, I have active interests in all aspects of specialist factural, current affairs, sport, food, and science, and I am keen to learn about and experience all genres of television production. I am also an experienced and confident self-shooter on a variety of Sony and Canon cameras, and have some experience editing on Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and FCP X.
I have been lucky enough to work with some award-winning companies and directors on productions of all sizes of budget, and approach each project and task with passion and commitment.
