With 25 years experience of producing TV programmes, across most non-scripted genres and at many different levels, I now specialise in the part of the process I love most, the edit.  And I've been very fortunate to have worked consistently since I made that decision.

My particular passion (and speciality) is in delving deep into the rushes to find those warm human moments, to build compelling narratives around them and bring their characters or situations to life, bringing out their natural humour where appropriate.
 
I’m highly creative but also organised, so can run multiple edits. Comm writing ranges from light hearted through to journalistic, I can make cut downs in Forscene/Avid/FCP etc, have run happy and successful teams, create workable schedules, as well as direct interviews.

Recent credits include prime time documentaries, fact ent formats, true crime, consumer, shows, makeovers, reality brands and prank shows for Channel 4, BBC One, C5 & MTV US.

I'm particularly pleased to have a number of companies and execs hiring me again and again for different jobs, as you can see from the CV. I think that having led big brands like Dragons’ Den and One Show film teams, that my previous experience of working with commissioners and compliance managers is invaluable in the edit.  

I live in Manchester but I have a base in London, and can work out of Bristol and Glasgow too. Read Less
