Jake has produced commercials for DoubleTree by Hilton, Carphone Warehouse, a documentary series for CNBC and a number of music videos.Most notably Produced, Co-Wrote and Co-Directed the multi award winning short film The Attendant, starring Robert James-Collier (Downton Abbey) and Isy Suttie (Peep Show). The film has collected number of awards including ‘First Prize’ in the ‘Directorial Discovery’ category at the Rhode Island Film Festival, ‘Best Comedy Short’ at the European Short Film Festival, ‘Best Foreign Short’ at the LA Comedy Festival and ‘Best Comedy Short’ & ‘Best Actress (Isy Suttie) at Oxford International Film Festival. For this project Jake sourced private finance and was the main driver behind the production. The short is now out for distribution with Shorts International and available to buy on iTunes.Most recently Jake produced a TVC campaign for DoubleTree by Hilton. This involved delivery of 1x 30'sec TVC for ITV, 2x cut-downs and 3x sponsored idents for on-demand channels were also required and scheduled during the shoot. The advertorial campaign aired in the UK along with other European markets and was bought in on time and on the budget which was £220,000. In addition to this, Jake was managed and was responsible for the entire creative resourcing of the project - hiring the director along with other key creative crew and talent. He was accountable for making sure all crew, locations, logistics and planning we in place and that all working regulations and health safety measures were adhered to during the course of the three day shoot. Throughout the production Jake was required to communicate, mediate and manage the clients needs when bought into alignment with the practicalities and mechanics of the production whilst complying with broadcasters regulations and the broadcast sponsorship guidelines.Additionally Jake, was a Senior Producer at COPA90, working on VISA’s Women's World Cup campaign. The campaign consisted of all digital and online deliverables for VISA’s sponsorship and support of the tournament. 16x 1-2min player documentaries were required, along with payments adverts, digital stills photography and social content. Dedicated shoot teams were assembled, briefed and sent to film each player in their respective countries. Jake was the main point of contact with the client and the subsequent multiple markets. He had overall responsibility and accountability for making sure the clients requirements were met along with the successful scheduling, planning and resourcing of workflow to meet the multiple deliverables.Jake’s extensive set experience, knowledge of development, background in post-production has given him a skillset that can be practically applied when facing, devising and advising clients with their needs at heart. From this knowledge he can comfortably draw up accurate budgets and forecasts to suit each individual brief and oversee each project from creative conception to final delivery.Over the course of Jake's career he has built up a wealth of reliable industry contacts, ranging from camera suppliers and post-production facilities to talented professional freelancers and production crew. The accurate managing, scheduling and budgeting of these resources to fit each projects requirements is a strength of Jake’s, supported through his wide range and extensive work history and their specific deliverables.Jake’s personable and enthusiastic people skills make him a warm and engaging communicator when both client facing and liaising with team members. This coupled with his overall in-depth understanding of the production process, make him a huge asset to any project or team he encounters.Currently Jake Cullen is Producing a short film titles Harold & Mary that focuses on dementia and the impact the disease has on a family.
