I'm a passionate, energetic and highly motivated producer. I believe the skills I have developed across a wide variety of programmes make me a great asset to have on a team. As a great people's person, I am a pleasure to work with and I enjoy working hard alongside a team striving for a common goal. I am great at staying across communications between team members, whether its editorial or production.
I can manage junior members of staff whilst digesting communication and requirements from directors and other senior team members. I love speaking to people and hearing their perspective. I've had to speak to contribs about all types of topics, but my handling of them conversing about traumatic events such as the murder of their loved ones is one of the greatest examples of my ability to build a rapport with contribs.
I have done this for many documentaries such as True Life Crime UK, FEDS, The Crimes that Changed Us and Impact and history docs such as 1970s/Decades, Erased: WWII People of Colour and The Architecture Our Railways Built. As a great multi-tasker, I am perfectly happy doing all sorts of jobs. I am at home with dealing with sourcing locations, permits and creating schedules for complex shoots. I am comfortable with prepping all the other small elements that come alongside a shoot such as archive prep and managing contrib availabilities. I have great experience with sourcing archive and am comfortable with FOIs as well as reaching out to organisations for quotes, permissions and can also negotiate costs when needed. As someone who is well organised, I can keep across all the different tasks that come up on a production.
I have worked as an edit producer on two programmes, an episode of True Life Crime UK and an episode of FEDs. This has really refined my scripting and storytelling skills, whilst making me adept at navigating the edit. I am a great source of support for my director during the edit, happy to help with the smallest of archive to standing in as edit producer when needed. My references would tell you that I have been a great help and asset to every team I have worked with, and continue to prove myself as a motivated, energetic and creative producer.
