Production Title: Tintin's Adventure With Frank Gardner Company: BBC Line Manager: Tim Green Programme Length: 50 minutes Genre: Factual Description : I developed, pitched and produced this film, which meant negotiating tricky access and contracts with Moulinsart (Herge estate), producing on location in Brussels, Berlin and Moscow, ensuring factual and editorial accuracy across translations for three foreign languages, scripting for the edit and safeguarding the films compliance with Moulinsart's creative guidelines. Negotiating a co-production with Moulinsart allowed us to realise the full potential of this film both creatively and financially. |
Producer / The Secret's Of Scott's Hut / BBC 2 / BBC / Sep 2010 to Apr 2011 / Charlotte Moore |
Production Title: The Secret's Of Scott's Hut Company: BBC Line Manager: Tim Green Programme Length: Feature Length Description : I developed, pitched and won this commission, seeing the film through from conception to completion. It was a fantastic experience, working with a brilliant team of creative individuals. Strong storytelling was crucial to the film as well as the need to present a new angle to a well known heroic tale. Having developed the film, I had a clear editorial vision which included unearthing new, untold and previously unseen material. This required a careful navigation of polar politics, skill full negotiating and a lot of charm! I am particularly proud of the unseen Scott photographs, shot by Scott himself, that featured in the film. Creating a narrative for this film and working closely with the director on the script pre filming, during filming and in post was central to my role as Producer on this film. Access negotiation was another skill required for this film and I successfully in securing unprecedented access to several Scott sites via both the New Zealand Government and The Antarctic Heritage Trust. I also developed a good working relationship with the scientists and conservationists on the ground which helped enormously with both the smooth running of filming and coming in on budget. |
Producer / Panorama - Chocolate: The Bitter Truth / BBC 1 / Indus Films / Mar 2009 to Apr 2010 / Sandy Smitom Giles |
Production Title: Panorama - Chocolate: The Bitter Truth Company: Indus Films Line Manager: Rachel Morgan Programme Length: 50 minutes Description : Award winning film - Best International Documentary (Madrid) & BAFTA shortlisted. A special undercover investigation into the use of child slavery and child trafficking in the production of chocolate. This was a self originated idea, which I developed and pitched and shot a taster before gaining a commission. This year long investigation involved three lengthy trips to West Africa (Ivory Coast, Ghana & Burkina Faso) during 2009 - 2010 and required both covert and overt filming. I shot two of the three trips on a Sony EX3 & Z7. Working closely with Ed Pol, High Risk and the BBC legal team, was a key part of my job.
