When we were looking for a PD to make the films for the book club we wanted someone creative with cinematic vision and that is just what we found in Jon and more. He brought a bit of Hollywood to the small screen and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Jon is someone who says "yes". When I first approached him with a far-fetched idea for a dramatic music video to be shot on a shoestring budget, I was essentially expecting confirmation that the project was impossible. I was astonished when Jon suggested that we make it happen, and even more surprised how completely unfazed he was by the scale of the challenge ahead. Throughout the long process of the film's creation, Jon stayed calm, cool-headed, approachable and absolutely doggedly focused on making the final result as good as it possibly could be. He carefully and empathetically communicated with his crew, expertly directed the cast, and seemed to be a natural at keeping camaraderie amongst everyone involved in the production high at all times. He worked tirelessly in the service of the starry-eyed idea of "making something great", but executed his craft with absolute professionalism and steered the ship towards its final realization as just that: a great piece of art.
