I am a multi award-winning series producer, writer and director.    I have 20 years experience delivering high profile projects for UK and International broadcasters.  

Over those 2 decades more than a third of my productions have won award recognition – including a Bafta award and 2 more nominations, a Peabody award, 2 Rockie awards, a Realscreen Award, multiple RTS awards, several European media awards and an Emmy nomination. 

As a Series Producer/Editor I lead teams that deliver high-quality series across a range of budgets. I'm equally happy on fast turnaround series like the the Sky at Night or high-end graphics-rich series like Neanderthals: Meet Your Ancestors and have an excellent record of delivering projects on schedule and budget.  I have recently been show-running a major new series with unprecedented access to Chinese science and technology. 

As a writer-director I develop popular and visually rich stories from often complex subject matter.  A passionate story teller - combining rigourous editorial focus with stunning location work -  I work across a range of genres and formats.  From presenter-led blue-chip series (I was the lead director on the ‘Wonders of…’ series that turned Brian Cox into a household name) to drama-doc (Celts: Blood Iron and Sacrifice, Killers of the Cosmos) and long-form features (Cosmonauts: How Russia Won the Space Race and the Emmy nominated Einstein and Hawking: Unlocking The Universe).   I'm skilled at getting the best out of high-profile presenters as well as new talent and contributors. I am used to negotiating access to the sensitive stories and locations. And I have l filming experience all over the world - including remote and extreme environments.
