I am a skilled interviewer with experience in sensitively approaching and interviewing vulnerable contributors. I am able to ask difficult questions in a sensitive manner, which enables me to develop my investigations with a human narrative. I have a proven record of securing difficult access, revealing exclusive information and have made a number of undercover films through my ‘Ellie Undercover’ series, one of which prompted a change in UK law. I work on the production team of nearly all the documentaries I make and developed a number of the ideas. I have also had a number of stints working in development and pre-production with various production companies. Prior to my career in television, I worked as a news reporter and I continue to write for a number of national newspapers.

I've worked with Ellie several times in development and production. In development Ellie is fast and fastidious at securing access and on-screen contributors, with a great book of connections and a natural ability to reach the seemingly unreachable. She is highly persuasive when she needs to be making her a great asset to any team. She also writes excellent treatments.
Ellie is also a great asset to any production, behind or infront of the camera (or both). She is thoughtful, empathetic and highly invested in her projects. She has great ideas, from pre-production to the edit.
