Fast-tracked into directing through the BBC, starting with live news, it was inevitable I was going to move into films and dramas. My first film getting recognised with two nominations at the Madrid International film festival gave me the confidence to pursue my dream. Car Pool Poker proved my next challenge, working with greats like Paul Barber and Joe McCann. I then moved onto my third venture, The Old Turk, as co-producer and director, due for release mid 2019.
