Calm, organised, hard-working & good humoured, I’ve managed teams of 3 to 30 people on location & in edits to deliver top-rating episodes of high-end flagship shows, large volume series, a big budget feature-length doc, plus setting the style for multiple original series. With a strong editorial instinct, I’m quick to the heart of a story, buying time to support the team in shaping compelling narratives, directing for impact & energy… to craft characterful, stylish films that hit the spot tonally. An on-point writer, with emotional intelligence, I deliver stirring results across genres: ob-doc adventures with alcoholic comedians; near-death disaster on a scientific mountain expedition; historic adventures beneath the ocean with CGI; and playful & dramatic natural history – ob doc, hosted and blue chip. I’ve worked with over 30 on screen talent, shoot, use avid and am at my happiest collaborating. I revel in storytelling & writing, tone & style (in the field and edit), as well as leading & managing creative teams.
