I travelled around Victoria during the 'footy' season in winter last year to film matches for the Northern Football League. Each week I travelled to a meeting place to collect the camera, tripod and accessories, then travel on to the selected oval and set up for the game. Each game lasted 3 hours, after which I would copy over data to multiple cards and then return the kit back to the original meeting place and wait for the company to upload the footage online.
Each week I received constructive criticism from Sportscast and I returned the following ready to take feedback on board and better my performance. By the end of the season I had worked out a real technique for filming live sport with a single camera and received an excellent response from my line manager.
I had to learn a brand new sport and with that new terminology and new information in a very short space of time. I loved it. |
