I am an experienced lighting cameraman based in London, shooting current affairs, brand films and drama. My showreel is at www.johnhoare.tv . Trained on celluloid and digital, I enjoy the variety of film-making: docs through carefully crafted studio lighting.I'm currently combining drama (DoP on 15 episodes in 2019-20 of BBC's continuing drama "Doctors") as well as docs work through InFocus, Blink Films and SRF; plus online content through Nemorin, World Television, Just So and Plastic Pictures. I am also edit on FCPX, Premiere and Resolve.I have been director of photography on award winning drama (The Other Man, Best Short Film, Edinburgh Film Festival). I am an approved BBC freelancer, and have completed the BBC Safeguarding Trust course. Current DBS certificate.
