A strong editorial visionary with an excellent eye for detail and a positive team leader, my passion and experience lies in documentaries from the lighter to the darker end of the scale. As an SP, I have a proven ability to take an idea and concept from commission through to delivery, as I demonstrated last year with the new C4 series-The Secret Life of the Holiday Resort.Stylistically, my expertise lies in setting and delivering a new look and style for new series; examples of which are trying to create a ‘rig without a rig’ for C4 using an go-pro and cross-shooting FS7 combination for narrative-driven scenes as well as creating a digital rig (text messages, google searches etc) for BBC3 which I then translated stylistically with bold graphics on-screen.I have a wealth of experience working on and managing compliant-heavy series for sensitive obs docs and am extremely experienced in negotiating and maintaining difficult and tricky access, particularly during intense moments of pressure during production.I have cut primetime programmes for all the main terrestrial broadcasters and more recently, I ran 8 edits whilst simultaneously running four teams filming on location. I am an excellent multi-tasker and prioritise efficiently to deliver series on time and on budget.I have a very strong track-record in putting together and running large teams with all levels of ability as well as working collaboratively and managing relationships with both Commissioning Editors and Execs alike.Previous to my production credits, I worked as Development Executive and Head of Development at several leading indies, such as Minnow Films (known for its BAFTA-winning documentaries) and also in-house at the BBC where I ran the documentary development team. This, in turn, has given me a proven ability to originate and develop ideas for series and singles and convert them to successful commissions with all the key broadcasters.My strong wealth of experience in both production and development means that I have an excellent understanding of the DNA of television, the requirements and shape required to craft strong films for specific broadcasters and their audiences and I am strongly able to deliver this on both location and in the edit.
