About Us
Humble Bee Films is an independent production company based in Bristol. Founded in 2010 by CEO Stephen Dunleavy, Humble Bee Films has built a reputation for going beyond the traditional nature documentary format, to tell great stories with passion, creativity and a strong visual style.
Our beautiful, bespoke films are underpinned by the latest science; from crafted landmarks to character-led serialised dramas and long-running formats, including Attenborough’s Life in Colour (BBC & Netflix), Wild Babies (Netflix), David Attenborough’s Natural Curiosities (BBC & UKTV), Attenborough and the Giant Elephant (BBC).
Our most recent series is Secret World of Sound, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, and can be seen on Sky Nature, Netflix and CBC.
Alongside Secret World of Sound, our team is now busy on another exciting blue chip series Airborne, for Sky Nature and Blue Ant Media.
