ITV, Sky, Banijay UK and Red Planet Pictures are among the TV organisations backing a Film & TV Charity campaign to celebrate the industry’s “hidden heroes”.

The charity is encouraging the industry to nominate talent using the hashtags #TurnTheCameraAround and #HiddenHeroes.

It is calling for individuals to share their favourite behind-the-scenes photographs and videos as part of its Behind the Scenes Week, which runs until Friday with the hashtag #BTSW.

The charity has also suggested crews working on live TV in entertainment and factual entertainment to take a moment to turn the camera around on-air to show the team making their shows.

Other organisations that have signed up include Disney, the National Film & Television School, Bristol's Bottle Yard Studios and Screen Yorkshire.

Film & TV Charity chief executive Alex Pumfrey said: “Every day the industry reaches out to us for support for their emotional, practical and financial needs, but we think it is important to ensure that we also take a moment to celebrate how incredible the industry is as well.”
