Brown Bob Productions has closed its Welsh office after just a year.
The Inside the Ambulance indie set up shop in Cardiff in August 2023 with 30 hours of secured commissions in the nation, including BBC1 daytime series Big Little Crimes.
Brown Bob Cymru subsequently hired Samantha Rosie as creative director.
However, founders Jacqueline Hewer and Nicki Gottlieb said in a statement that “the current climate in TV has proved too harsh” to continue to operate in Wales and Brown Bob would operate solely out of London.
Brown Bob Cymru’s latest Welsh production, The Dinohunters [main picture] – part of BBC1’s nations and regions Our Lives strand – airs next week.
The indie is the second company to exit Wales in recent weeks, following last month’s closure of Wildflame.
