Former Bafta chair and BBC documentaries controller Anne Morrison has taken the reins at Nevision after three years as factual creative director of the indie.
As chief executive, Morrison will oversee all future growth and strategic expansion of the company and build its development and talent base and international co-productions.
She hailed Nevision’s “impactful slate of well-crafted, character-driven stories across factual, factual entertainment, scripted and kids & family”.
Morrison will continue in her existing role alongside kids & family creative director Nigel Pickard and scripted creative director Neil Zeiger, and will work closely with US-based Nevision Inc and Scandiavian sister company Nevis Productions.
Nevision’s factual successes under her leadership include co-producing the Bafta- and RTS-award winning The Missing Children with True Vision, for ITV, RTE and US broadcaster Topic.
Before chairing Bafta from 2014 to 2016, Morrison worked for the BBC for 20 years as a prolific producer/director, rising to controller of documentaries and contemporary factual and founding the BBC Academy.
